HDV Acquire and Batch Acquire

Now users can acquire footage from any HDV device through the FireWire connection on their computer. HDV is the most accessible and inexpensive HD format on the market today and the format of choice for many video professionals. The HDV acquire feature takes advantage of the versatility of the Media 100's multi-codec support. Users can transcode HDV files into any codec they choose including DVCPRO HD, Apple Pro Res, the powerful Media 100 HD codec, and more in real-time during the video acquisition process.

Multi-Channel Audio Input

Today's professional video formats provide the ultimate audio flexibility by providing multiple channel output on their devices. With Media 100 Version 12.5 users can take advantage of this versatility by acquiring up to 8 channel pairs of audio (*dependent on hardware choice). By seamlessly integrating into Media 100's legendary easy to use interface, the newly implemented input channel mapping preference offers the flexibility to remap your audio before your lay your audio to disk. Users can now remap or assign audio input to different channels before they acquire media. Assigning audio channels before you acquire allows for faster edit decisions when cutting in the timeline and organizes your bin clips before your start editing.

Edit Clip Track Mapping

Didn't pre-assign your audio clips before you captured? Media 100 Version 12.5 gives users the audio flexibility by providing users with the Track Mapping Interface. Users can remap audio clips in edit clip bin mode, then drag those clips and edit directly in the Media 100 timeline. The track mapping feature allows up to 16 audio channels to be mapped to different audio channel assignments, all while Media 100 ensures that the user does not assign audio to the same channel multiple times. Users can mute each track directly in the mapping window to make fast edit decisions. The easy to use user interface shows green for "on" and gray for "muted".
